The present invention relates to a touch detecting apparatus including a fingerprint sensor disposed on a touch sensor panel. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the touch detecting apparatus capable of recognizing a fingerprint includes: a touch driving electrode layer including a plurality of touch driving electrodes; and a sensing electrode layer including a plurality of sensing electrodes. Any one of the sensing electrodes is a common sensing electrode which includes a plurality of fingerprint driving electrodes in a partial region and selectively sensing a touch input or a fingerprint input. According to the present invention, the touch detecting apparatus having a touch recognition function and a fingerprint recognition function can be realized without limitations of a location and space by locating the fingerprint sensor on a touch screen without an additional physical button.
