PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electroless corrosion-control coating materials for various metallic substrates, which have advantages of a simpler and less expensive operation and of a shorter operating time, and to provide a method for the autophoretic application thereof.SOLUTION: The invention relates to an aqueous coating agent for metallic substrates, comprising a water-dispersible and/or water-soluble polymer P with a gradient in the concentration of covalently bonded hydrophilic groups along the main polymer chain, wherein the polymer P has covalently bonded ligands A, which form chelates with the metal ions released during the corrosion of the substrate and/or with the metallic substrate surface, and has crosslinking functional groups B, which with themselves can form covalent bonds with another complementary functional groups B' on the polymer P and with another functional groups B and/or B' on crosslinkers V.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
