PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounting contact that makes it possible to secure suitable electric contact even when a conductive member is moved from a lateral side against a surface mounted contact.SOLUTION: A surface mounting contact 1 constituted of a conductive plate member having elasticity includes: a mounting part 11 formed in a planar shape; and a pair of contact parts 12 bent inwardly toward the same plate thickness direction so that tip parts mutually approach by making both ends in a long direction of the mounting part 11 to be base ends. The pair of contact parts 12 are disposed inside the contact parts 12 where respective tip parts 122, especially extreme tip parts 124 face each other.
