The invention relates to a folding counter comprising: a folding base including a front panel; a first left-hand wall hinged to the front panel; a second left-hand wall hinged to the first left-hand wall; a first right-hand wall hinged to the front panel; a second right-hand wall hinged to the first right-hand wall; a rear panel connecting the second left-hand wall to the second right-hand side wall; a cover movably connected to the front panel or to the rear panel so that it can move in translation in relation to the base; at least one post having a lower end that is inserted into the cover and an upper end; and a table top mounted on the post and separated vertically from the cover.
