DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS

Provided are a data transmission method and apparatus. A method for sending data comprises: receiving uplink data or pilot frequency sent by a user equipment by means of an uplink subframe; performing beam characteristic designing according to the uplink data or pilot frequency, and generating beam characteristic information; determining a precoding mode according to the beam characteristic information, and performing precoding processing on data to be sent according to the determined precoding mode, the precoding mode comprising a precoding mode based on space-time or a precoding mode based on space-frequency; and sending the precoded data to be sent to the user equipment. The embodiments of the present invention can flexibly select the precoding mode according to the uplink data or pilot frequency sent by the user equipment.
