A radiant heater device (1) comprising: a sheet-shaped substrate section (10) which has a heat generation section (11) that generates heat by conducting electricity and which emits radiant heat by using the heat supplied from the heat generation section (11); and a heater case that houses and supports the substrate section (10) by clamping from the front surface side and the back surface side thereof. Elastic members (5), which elastically deform as a result of a clamping force acting in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the substrate section (10), are provided to areas that clamp the substrate section (10). Due to the elastic members (5) being provided to the areas that clamp the substrate section (10), the substrate section (10) is supported in a state in which movement is possible in the direction parallel to the surface without the clamped portion being completely fixed. Thus, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of defects by suppressing creases, sagging, or the like in a sheet-shaped heater body. |
