CLEANING COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING HIGH FATTY ACIDS

A cleaning composition, preferably a granular laundry detergent composition, containing relatively high levels of fatty acids or salts thereof in a specific surfactant system containing a C10-C20 linear alkylbenzene sulphonate (LAS) and a C6-C18 unalkoxylated alkyl sulphate (AS) at a weight ratio of from 3:1 to 24:1. The higher level of fatty acids or salts in such a surfactant system surprisingly result in better sudsing profile.

1. A cleaning composition comprising:
(a) from 6 wt % to 15 wt % of a C10-C20 linear alkylbenzene sulphonate (LAS); (b) from 0.3 wt % to 4 wt % of an alkyl sulphate (AS) having a branched or linear unalkoxylated alkyl group comprising from 6 to 18 carbon atoms; and (c) from 2 wt % to 6 wt % of one or more fatty acids or salts thereof,wherein said LAS and AS are present in said cleaning composition at a LAS-to-AS weight ratio of from 3:1 to 24:1.
