PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide power-saving mode control means which allows a server side to properly select a target unit in a distributed processing while considering network power saving effect obtainable by activating EEE function even when the computer network environment includes a case in which EEE is supported and a case in which EEE is not supported in the combination of printing controller unit and HUB.SOLUTION: The printing control system includes: storing means that stores a flag in a printing controller unit, which represents whether EEE is supported or not based on an auto-negotiation result between a printing controller unit and a HUB; information collection means that collects the flag information from each target unit in distributed processing at the server side or client PC side; and target unit selection means that switches selection condition of the target unit based on the flag information in the information collection means depending on the present power condition status of each the printing controller unit, in particular, depending on ordinary mode or power save mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
