PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide resin for an adhesive hardly generating a volatile component consisting of a cyclic siloxane compound and capable of forming an adhesive layer having no reduction of adhesiveness with a wiring layer and a cover lay film even in a use environment in which it is exposed to a high temperature repeatedly.SOLUTION: There is provided a polyimide resin for an adhesive obtained by reacting an acid anhydride component containing aromatic tetra carboxylic acid anhydride and a diamine component where the aromatic tetra carboxylic acid anhydride is 3,3',4,4'-benzophenonetetracarboxylic acid dianhydride and the diamine component contains aliphatic diamine derived from dimer acid.SELECTED DRAWING: None
