METHOD AND DEVICE FOR GENERATING BGP LOGICAL TOPOLOGY

The present invention relates to the field of communications. Disclosed are a method and apparatus for generating a BGP logical topology. The method comprises: a controller obtains node information of a first forwarding device and BGP session information of the first forwarding device, and obtains node information of a second forwarding device and BGP session information of the second forwarding device; and the controller generates a BGP logical topology between the first forwarding device and the second forwarding device according to the node information and the BGP session information of the first forwarding device and the node information and the BGP session information of the second forwarding device that are obtained. By means of the technical solution provided in the present invention, a controller can collect BGP logical topologies of forwarding devices, facilitating management of the controller on forwarding devices running BGP.
