A method for manufacturing a linen fiber for spinning, the method including: a dip treatment step for dipping, for 30-60 minutes at 60-100°C, a raw-material linen fiber in a treatment solution that contains at least one type of enzyme selected from the group consisting of cellulolytic enzyme and an enzyme that hydrolyzes a glycosidic bond, an alkaline agent, and water; a water-washing step for washing the dip-treated linen fiber in water; and a drying step for drying the water-washed linen fiber.
