A banknote distribution method, a banknote distribution device (504) and financial self-service equipment, which are used for removing the limitation of the denomination and number of banknotes of financial self-service equipment, greatly expanding the banknote distribution capacity and the banknote distribution range of the financial self-service equipment, meeting the demand for different banknote distribution limits of customers and improving the use experience of the customers. The method comprises: acquiring the sequences and the corresponding denominations of banknotes of a plurality of mixed banknote boxes (501) (101), wherein banknotes with a plurality of denominations are stored in a mixed mode in the mixed banknote boxes (501) and taken or stored in a stack mode; acquiring the number and the denomination of banknotes of a plurality of single banknote boxes (502) (102), wherein banknotes with only one denomination are stored in the single banknote boxes (502); acquiring a current banknote distribution limit (103); obtaining a banknote distribution result according to preset banknote distribution rules and the banknote distribution limit (104), wherein the banknote distribution result records the corresponding number of banknotes withdrawn from each mixed banknote box (501) and the corresponding number of banknotes withdrawn from each single banknote box (502) so that the total amount of the withdrawn banknotes is equal to the banknote distribution limit; and outputting the banknotes according to the banknote distribution result (105).
