Modular system (1) for the housing and breeding of poultry based on the battery construction using an improved configuration which notably improves the comfort for the poultry as well as the mechanical resistance and ease of assembly and disassembly of the installations; the system comprises a plurality of separating bodies (2) associated with bases (3) and doors (4) such that spaces are defined where the poultry are housed, the separating bodies (2) and the bases (3) being connected to a structure (5), the separating bodies (2) comprising a central panel (21) with a general rectangular configuration, having first reinforcement ribs (22) on part of the perimetrical edges of the central panel (21), in which the central panel has a region perforated in the form of a ventilation grid (23); the central panel (21) having means for joining to the structure; the structure comprising a plurality of tubes (51) interconnectable to each other.
