In a method for producing a digital signature for digital content by means of a computer (100) and by means of trusted signature hardware (120) connected to the computer for data exchange, according to the invention, in order to increase the security against manipulations, that the following steps are performed: - producing (160) a message digest from the digital content by means of an application (110) executed on the computer (100); - producing (150) descriptive data for the electronic digital signature; - transmitting (170) the message digest and the descriptive data to the trusted signature hardware (120); - outputting (180) the descriptive data on an output device of the trusted signature hardware (120); - carrying out (200) a user interaction as a prerequisite for the continuation of the method; - producing (210) signature data from the message digest and the descriptive data by means of the trusted signature hardware (120); and - transmitting the signature data of the trusted signature hardware (120) to the computer (100) and in particular the application (110). |
