Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for determining the length of a measurement gap and a network device. The method comprises the following steps: a first network device determines whether a master base station is synchronous with a secondary base station (310); when the master base station is synchronous with the secondary base station, the first network device determines that the length of the measurement gap is a first length (320); and when the master base station is asynchronous with the secondary base station, the first network device determines that the length of the measurement gap is a second length (330), the first length being smaller than the second length. |
