摘要 The present invention relates to a method for reducing metal artifact in computed tomography (CT). The method for reducing metal artifact in CT according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: obtaining a sonogram which reduces the size of an original sonogram; configuring a linear algebra equation based on the obtained sonogram image by using remaining data excluding data damaged by metal; restoring an image with a low resolution based on the configured linear algebra equation; calculating the sonogram from the restored image with a low resolution; performing a restoration of the sonogram while the data of the calculated sonogram is placed on the original sonogram; and restoring a final CT image from the restored sonogram. According to the present invention, an image closest to an original image can be obtained by minimizing noise and error caused by metal artifact in CT scanning, by introducing a new metal artifact reduction (MAR) technology called as an algebraic correction technique (ACT) using a medium image for an attenuated coefficient of the outside of a metal region.
