The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for winding a coil, wherein a first coil unit and a second coil unit are integrally formed without cutting therebetween so as to improve the quality of a product and enhance the productivity of the product. To this end, the present invention comprises: a first supplier for moving a wire from the front to the rear; a winder which is provided in the rear of the first supplier and winds the first coil unit by rotating in one direction in a state that a front end unit of the wire is inserted thereinto, as well as winds the second coil unit by rotating in the other direction in a state that a rear end unit of the wire is inserted thereinto, thereby allowing the first coil unit and the second coil unit to be integrally formed without cutting therebetween; a moving means for straightly moving the first coil unit to the front or the rear in a state of holding the first coil unit wound in the winder. Accordingly, the structure like above enables a series of coil winding processes, including bending a front end of a wire, a first winding of the wire, bending a rear end of the wire, and a second winding of the wire, to be all completed, in the apparatus for winding a coil, thereby improving productivity of the coil. Particularly, since the first coil unit and the second coil unit are integrally formed without cutting therebetween, a welding part is not formed on the wire which forms a coil, thereby not only improving quality of the coil, but also reducing costs of the product due to simplification of a manufacturing process of the coil. |
