The present invention is capable of generating strong electrolytic ion water having a pH value higher than a reference pH value, by using the same generation apparatus as an electrolytic ion water generation apparatus that generates electrolytic ion water having the reference pH value, by reducing the amount of raw water to be supplied to the negative-electrode chamber of an electrolytic bath to be less than the amount of raw water used when electrolytic ion water having the reference pH value is generated, and by setting the other generation conditions to be the same conditions used when electrolytic ion water having the reference pH value is generated. In this electrolytic ion water generation method, the amount of raw water is set to the amount of raw water calculated on the basis of the formula pH = 14 + log[OH-]. |
