A method for applying for a license comprises: acquiring parameter information about a particular service function which needs to be implemented (S101); acquiring software information about target software which implements the particular service function from a preset information database according to the parameter information, wherein the software information carries the parameter information (S102); sending the software information to a target device, so that the target device acquires, from a supply device which supplies a target license file of the target software, the target license file according to the software information (S103), wherein the target license file is a file licensing the target software to implement the particular service function; and acquiring the target license file obtained, from the supply device, by the target device (S104). And an apparatus for applying for a license is provided. The method and apparatus can reduce the cost of a license application process, and shorten the time consumed during license application and deployment. |
