[Problem] To provide a quantum dot solar cell with a high light absorption coefficient. [Solution] This quantum dot solar cell is provided with a quantum dot layer 3 in which a plurality of quantum dots 1 are integrated. The quantum dot layer 3 comprises a first quantum dot layer 3A and, defining x as the average particle diameter of the quantum dots 1 and σ as the standard deviation of the quantum dots, the index σ/x, which represents variation in the particle diameter, is greater than or equal to 5%. The quantum dot layer 3 is provided with a second quantum dot layer 3B to the side of the light incident surface 3b and/or the exit surface 3c of the first quantum dot layer 3A, and the average particle diameter and σ/x of the second quantum dot layer 3B are smaller than those of the first quantum dot layer 3A. |
