The invention relates to an integral iron-cast brake drum and comprising: - a circular ring (2) having an inner cylindrical friction surface; and - a radial flange (6) axially placed on the front side and provided in order to attach said drum onto a hub. Said brake drum is characterized in that it also comprises: - a continuous annular body (14) that is placed around the ring (2), radially spaced therefrom, and connected to the ring by a substantially transverse wall (16); and - a series of ribs (18) placed within axial planes and connecting the ring to said wall. |
