The present invention relates to a composition comprising a seed extract of Schizandra chinensis for treating or alleviating vascular diseases, and to a manufacturing method thereof. The composition comprising a seed extract of Schizandra chinensis of the present invention is capable of preventing the damage in arteries from being developed as atherosclerosis by inhibiting the movement of MMP and effectively inhibiting smooth muscle cells from producing ROS substances, NO, and PEG2. In addition, the composition has antioxidant activities, is capable of inhibiting an inflammatory medium and an inflammatory reaction, and is capable of alleviating or preventing the progress of vascular diseases therethrough. Therefore, the composition can be efficiently used for treating and preventing vascular-related diseases.
