The present invention relates to a waterproofing ripcord and a method for manufacturing the same and, more particularly, to a waterproofing ripcord which is included inside of a wire cable to prevent moist or water from permeating into the wire cable which contains an optical fiber cable, and to a method for manufacturing the same. A waterproofing liquid composite in the present invention comprises: 31-65 wt% of waterproofing powder; 20-50 wt% of polyvinyl alcohol; 1.0-3.0 wt% of polyvinyl acetate; 10-20 wt% of polyethylene oxides; 0.3-0.5 wt% of aldehyde; 0.4-0.7 wt% of nitric acid; 0.4-0.7 wt% of caustic soda; 1.2-2 wt% of aerosol; 0.4-1.0 wt% of glass bubble; and 1.3-2.0 wt% of lauryl ether. A waterproofing solid composite in the present invention comprises: 15-30 wt% of a coagulating agent; 10-20 wt% of an anti-static agent; 50-70 wt% of a filler; 1-2 wt% of a blowing agent; and 2-5 wt% of a cross-linking agent. The waterproofing liquid composite and the waterproofing solid composite are mixed at the mixture ratio of 1:2-1:4 to produce waterproofing powder. The present invention provides a waterproofing core using the waterproofing powder, thereby stably absorbing moisture inserted into the wire cable and improving the reliability of waterproofing. |
