PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain downsizing and weight saving of a whole gear device without reducing allowable torque of the gear device.SOLUTION: A gear device 12 has an input shaft 14 and an output shaft 16, and is used with the lower surface of a casing 18 installed. An upper surface 30 of the casing 18 (upper casing 26) of the gear device 12 is inclined downwardly from the output shaft 16 side to the input shaft 14 side, and in a part of the upper surface 30 inclined downwardly, ribs 141-143 projecting from the upper surface 30 inclined downwardly are included.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
