1. Plant for applying protective membranes on beverage cans (7) comprising:
a turntable (1) rotating about a virtual and vertical axis, the turntable being driven by an electric motor through a toothed belt (4) made of a first and a second rings (2 and 3) integral with each other and having surfaces, a lower surface being of the first ring (2) and an upper surface being of the second ring (3), each bearing a series of an equal number of guides (5) that are horizontally and radially and angularly equally spaced, wherein each guide (5) of the first ring (2) vertically corresponds to a guide (5) of the second ring (3), wherein, to each vertical pair of two superimposed guides (5), there is engaged an operating device (6) so as to radially move the operating device, and wherein the operating device is equipped with a pair of horizontal and radial saddles (28) and is configured to circularly, radially and vertically move the beverage cans (7), to which a protective membrane (8) made of a stretchable plastic polymer is to be applied.
