PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in manufacturing costs and further to highly accurately detect a car stopping at a door zone.SOLUTION: An elevator apparatus comprises: a photoelectric sensor (31) measuring a reflection light amount of light irradiated in a landing place direction and outputting a control signal having on-off patterns by using a threshold value set beforehand; and a control signal processing section (41) determining presence or absence of incoming and outgoing passengers at a landing place on the basis of the control signal output from the photoelectric sensor (31) in a state of a door being opened. Horizontal strip-like patterns are provided at predetermined intervals on a door of the landing place. The control signal processing section (41) recognizes the strip-like patterns on the basis of the control signal output from the photoelectric sensor (31) during the time from movement of a car before arrival at the landing place to entering a position where the door can be opened, and determines whether or not the car stops at a door zone where the door of the car and the door of the landing place can be opened by identifying to which position of the strip-like patterns the car stops in response when a door open request is issued.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
