PRIORITIZATION PROCESSING

Techniques are described in which a data entry is received at a priority processor. A higher priority entry than all other entries in a priority queue is identified and the higher priority entry is replaced at a root position in the priority queue with the data entry. An even-level entry is also swapped with a consecutively higher odd-level entry based on a comparison of priority values associated with the entries.
