The present invention pertains to coke obtained by forming raw material for molding into blocks so as to form molded product, and then drying the molded product. The raw material for molding contains: by-product coal generated in a process involving extracting coal with a solvent to produce ashless coal; coal; and moisture. The content of the coal is 5 mass% (dry basis) or less (including 0 mass%) of the raw material for molding. The content of the moisture is 8 mass% (dry basis) or less (including 0 mass%) of the raw material for molding. |
