[Class 52 (i)] In bedsteads of the kind which are alternatively supported on feet or.on castors or wheels the castors or feet are carried by vertical posts which are movable axially by worm and toothed gearing with connecting links. As shown the vertical post 8 is connected by links 9 to a toothed sector 10 pivoted in a casing 3 and engaging with a worm wheel 11 mounted on a horizontal shaft 12 provided with a handle 14. The foot end of the bedstead, as shown, is provided with fixed feet 2 and a supporting tube 5 serves as a guide for the vertical post 8. |
