<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus which can reduce offset to a succeeding recording medium even when a protrusion of a platen arranged on the platen with a predetermined distance separated along a width direction of a recording medium is included in a run-off region when performing borderless printing. <P>SOLUTION: When there is the protrusion in a maximum run-off region, the run-off region is set again until the protrusion can be avoided.
