Sliding connection between the floor structure and the hull structure of an aircraft.

An aircraft structure 100 comprises a floor 12, a hull 11 and a connector 20 comprising a rod 21 attached, at its first end 21A, to the hull 11 or the floor 12, an attachment element 23 attached to the other of the hull 11 and the floor 12 and having an opening in which the second end of the rod 21 is slidably mounted and an end-stop 24 which engages with the attachment element 23 when the hull 11 moves away from the floor 12, e.g. in a crash, to limit the sliding of the rod 21. The end-stop 24 may be a nut. The attachment element 23 may comprise a recess (23B fig 2D) with an opening (23A fig 2D) which receives the end-stop 24. There may be an elastomeric coating 25 on the internal sidewalls of the recess (23B fig 2D) or external sidewalls of the end-stop 24. The first end 21A of the rod 21 may be pressed against the bottom of an indentation 221 in an intermediate component (22 fig 4A) by a clip (222 fig 4A). A method of manufacturing a rod 21 using fibres is also disclosed.
