A display device comprises: a display panel, a variable gate clock generator, and a gate driver. The display panel includes: a plurality of data lines, a plurality of gate lines, and a plurality of pixels. The variable gate clock generator generates first and second variable gate clock signals having duty ratios varied by the brightness of a frame image, respectively. The gate driver generates driving signals to drive the gate lines in response to the first and second variable gate clock signals.
