<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a WC-based cemented carbide with excellent plastic deformation resistance under a high temperature, to be used for materials hard to cut such as a heat resistant superalloy, a titanium alloy and stainless steel and high-speed cutting and dry cutting of high hardness steel after heat treatment, and to provide a coated cutting tool and methods for manufacturing the WC-based cemented carbide and the coated cutting tool. <P>SOLUTION: This WC-based cemented carbide includes 3.0%<Co<6.0%, 0.2%<Cr<1.2% and 0.05%<Zr<0.30%, by mass%, as metallic elements and the remainder composed of nonmetallic elements and inevitable impurities existing by being solid-dissolved or compounded into the metallic elements. The WC-based cemented carbide has amount of oxygen of 0.1% or less by mass%, the rate of porosity of A04 or less and B02 or less in a cemented carbide standard CIS006C-2007 and hardness of 92.2-93.5HRA. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
