<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water tank assembly without requiring a water tank outlet valve, control knob, or lever susceptible to abrasion or breakage. <P>SOLUTION: A water tank assembly includes: a water tank housing 12 consisting of a water tank cover and a water tank bottom part; a water tank member 11 pivotally attached to the water tank housing 12; and starting means associated with the water tank member and relatively pivoting the water tank member to the water tank housing to discharge stored water. The water tank member 11 has a bottom wall 14 forming a bowl for storing water and passages 15, 16 for discharging water from a chamber. The passages 15, 16 have internal inlet ports 24, 25, and water tank exit ports 26, 27, respectively, and are formed so as to discharge water from the passages by means of siphons. Driving means inclines the water tank member 11 to start drainage through the passages 15, 16. When the water tank member 11 is pivoted and the passages 15, 16 are moved below the water storage surface of the chamber, air in the chamber enters into the passages and water is drawn from the passages 15, 16 into the water tank exit ports 26, 27 until no more water is drawn into the passages. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
