The method for producing a nitride fluophor containing at least one type of alkaline-earth metal element and at least one type of element that serves as an activator involves using, as a material, a nitride obtained by coprecipitation and containing at least one type of alkaline-earth metal element and at least one type of element that serves as an activator.
