The present invention relates to a nitrogen oxide reduction system using microwave plasma, based on a selective catalytic reduction (SCR). According to an embodiment of the present invention, the nitrogen oxide reduction system comprises: a storage tank storing a reducing agent; a decomposition reactor reforming the reducing agent supplied from the storage tank into ammonia vapor by using high-temperature microwave plasma flames; a mixing chamber positioned on a lower side of the decomposition reactor and mixing air with the ammonia vapor supplied from the decomposition reactor; and ammonia injection facilities uniformly mixing lean ammonia vapor flowing to the lower side of the mixing chamber with exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxide released from an exhaust gas generation source, so as to supply a lean gaseous mixture to both down-line equipment and a catalyst reaction tower; and a catalyst reaction tower aiding reduction of the lean gaseous mixture. |
