<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode can for a lithium battery, which is reduced in dimensional variation and can be manufactured at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A cathode can 11 for a lithium battery is molded in a cylindrical shape comprising an opening part 16, a body part 17, and a bottom part 18 by pressing a stainless steel material. A sealing body is attached to the opening part 16 of the cathode can 11, and a cathode mixture is stored in the body part 17.
