<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal inspection device and a terminal inspection method that are capable of measuring a gap distance between ends of a fork-shaped terminal with high accuracy even when a change occurs in the state of the side surface of the fork-shaped terminal. <P>SOLUTION: Blue light is emitted from an axis direction parallel to a longitudinal direction of a fork-shaped terminal to the fork-shaped terminal, and red light is emitted from a direction inclined with a predetermined angle with respect to the axis direction to the fork-shaped terminal. A camera 14 takes an image of the blue light and the red light emitted to the fork-shaped terminal, and the blue light and the red light are extracted from the image. On the basis of the result of the extraction, an appropriate gap arithmetic program corresponding to the state of the side surface of the fork-shaped terminal is selected, and a gap distance d of the fork-shaped terminal is determined using the gap arithmetic program. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
