According to one embodiment, an information processing device includes a distance information acquisition unit, an operation detector and an updating unit. The distance information acquisition unit acquires distance information relating to a distance to an object. The object includes at least a portion of a projection surface where an image is projected. The operation detector detects an operation performed by an indicator. The detecting is based on a reference distance and the distance information. The updating unit updates the reference distance based on a temporal change of the detected operation and a temporal change of the acquired distance information. |
