The method involves repeatedly transmitting the status messages (16) on vehicle (9) with an onboard unit (10). The status messages are received in a radio-beacon (3) based on the radio identification. The location of used vehicle is detected by evaluating the relative distance based on the status message. An identification request is sent from the radio-beacon. The identification request is received and permission checked. The unique identification of the onboard unit is sent to radio-beacon if the request is entitled to change a constant multiple radio identification. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a radio-beacon; and (2) an onboard unit. |
