The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for displaying a name of a radio broadcasting station. The apparatus of the present invention comprises: a first tuner for tuning a broadcasting signal of a frequency selected by a user from radio broadcasting signals received through an antenna; a second tuner for sequentially tuning the entire frequency of the radio broadcasting signals received through the antenna; a control unit for measuring signal intensity by each frequency tuned through the second tuner and storing the same in a storage unit in the state of outputting the radio broadcasting signal of the frequency being tuned by the first tuner, and changing information on a broadcasting reception region at the current position based on a frequency mapping table by each region pre-stored in the storage unit, and information on the frequency signal intensity; and a display unit for displaying a name of a broadcasting station corresponding to the frequency being tuned through the first tuner in reference to the frequency mapping table corresponding to the changed information on the broadcasting reception region.
