Provided are a polarizing film and a method for manufacturing a polarizing plate which has superior adhesion to a protection film. The method for manufacturing a polarizing plate by bonding a protection film made of thermoplastic resin to at least one surface of a polarizing film where iodine or dichroic dye is adsorbed to a polyvinyl alcohol resin film, by a UV hardening adhesive, comprises: a process (a) of bring the protection film into contact with water; a process (b) of forming an adhesive layer made of a UV hardening adhesive, on at least one film chosen between the protection film and the polarizing film performed by the process (a); a process (c) of obtaining a stack film by stacking the protection film and the polarizing film with the adhesive layer; and a process (d) of hardening the adhesive layer by irradiating a UV ray to the stack film.
