PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING MUTANT PROTEINS OF GRANULOCYTE-COLONY STIMULATING FACTOR OR TRANSFERRIN FUSION PROTEINS THEREOF

The present invention relates to a fusion protein having a peptide bond between transferrin and the terminal site of a granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) protein or a mutant protein of G-CSF which substitutes threonine, a 116th in the amino acid sequence of the G-CSF protein, for cysteine. More particularly, the mutant protein of G-CSF or transferrin fusion proteins of the same in the present invention remarkably enhances specific activity and stability in the bloodstream in comparison to conventional human G-CSFs, and has a high efficiency of purification in comparison to conventional PEGylated G-CSF which has an extended half-life. Therefore, the mutant protein of G-CSF or transferrin fusion proteins of the same can be usefully used for preventing or treating ishemic diseases or neutropenia.
