PHOSPHOR IN GLASS FOR AUTOMOBILE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

Disclosed are phosphor in glass (PIG) for automobiles and a manufacturing method thereof. In the present invention, provided is a PIG for automobiles having light emitting diode (LED), which is a color converting PIG and is placed on the front surface of the LED of the automobile. The PIG for automobiles is formed with the width of 0.16 ± 0.03 mm including a substrate and a coating layer, and minimizes the difference in thermal expansion coefficients of the substrate and the coating layer by having the same glass composition of the coating layer as the substrate. The substrate is formed with glass and the coating layer is formed with glass and phosphor. The present invention is to provide PIG for automobiles with excellent color conversion efficiency and durability.
