The radiating and/or receiving element comprises a planar conductor which is arranged in parallel to the ground plane. An L-shaped slot is arranged in the planar conductor.

1. An antenna for radiating electromagnetic waves including radio waves or microwaves, said antenna comprising:
a ground body having a first ground plane, four antenna elements selected from radiating and receiving elements arranged in array such that each antenna element is rotated 90° about an axis perpendicular to the plane of the first ground plane, and each antenna element includes a planar conductor, wherein the planar conductor is arranged in parallel to the first ground plane, wherein an L-shaped slot is arranged in each said planar conductor, the L-shaped slot having two arms and an inclined angle, the included angle of each L-shaped slot facing towards the axis perpendicular to the plane of the first ground plane; said ground body comprising an annular cavity.
