PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an optical axis-direction position of a lens holder to be accurately detected without adversely affecting a position detection unit.SOLUTION: A lens holder drive device comprises: a lens holder; a stationary unit that includes a base member arranged below the lens holder; a drive mechanism; an upper leaf spring; a lower leaf spring; and a position detection unit that detects an optical axis-direction position of the lens holder. The drive mechanism comprises: a drive coil that is fixed to a periphery of the lens holder; an almost square cylindrical yoke; and a drive magnet that is arranged so as to face the drive coil in a first direction orthogonal to the optical axis. The position detection unit includes: one of a pair of sensor magnets attached to a corresponding outer circumferential surface of the lens holder in a second direction orthogonal to the optical axis and the first direction; and a magnetic detection element that is provided in the base member facing the one sensor magnet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
