PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel support device that can present a travel lane where an effect on a user's vehicle is slight and allow the user's vehicle to start optimal lane change more safely and reliably before approaching a junction where a joining vehicle affects a travel of the user's vehicle.SOLUTION: A travel support device sets a travel route of a user's vehicle, detects a junction section on the travel route of the user's vehicle when the travel route of the user's vehicle is a main lane, and determines a degree of difficulty in joining at the junction section. According to the degree of difficulty in joining, the device sets a lane change completion location, a location to complete lane change from a first main lane where a joining vehicle joins to a second main lane adjacent to the first main lane. Additionally, according to the degree of difficulty in joining, the device sets a lane change restarting location, a location to restart lane change to return from the second main lane to the first main lane.
