PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety of a battery at the time of thermal runaway.SOLUTION: A temperature control device of a battery for controlling the temperature of a battery cell 4 incorporated in a battery pack 2, by passing air from an introduction port 6 provided in the battery pack 2 through an exhaust port 7 and an exhaust duct 8 includes a cooling fan 10 for sucking air in the battery pack 2 from the exhaust port 7, an intake valve 12 for opening and closing the introduction port 6, a battery temperature sensor 21 for detecting thermal runaway by the temperature of the battery cell 4, and a cell management unit 20 for closing the intake valve 12 and sucks air in the battery pack 2 by means of the cooling fan 10 when the temperature indicating thermal runaway is detected by a battery temperature sensor 21, and opening the intake valve 12 upon elapsing a predetermined time Tvo after closing the intake valve 12 and stating suction by means of the cooling fan 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
