PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup transporting bag and a manufacturing method of the same, which can be manufactured from one base material sheet with a simple process, can hold a container stably, and is excellent in heat insulation property.SOLUTION: A base material sheet 1 made of a thermoplastic resin material is delivered, and a gusset 2 is formed by folding a side of the base material sheet 1 inward. A notch 21a is formed in a folding-back end part 21 of the gusset 2. Then, in a state of inserting a backing plate A from an opening end 25 of the gusset 2, a pair of upper and lower sheet overlapping parts of a body part 22 of the gusset 2 is heat sealed linearly and integrally along a traveling direction, thereby making the folding-back end part 21 side a support part 23. Subsequently, the backing plate A is removed, the entire sheet overlapping parts in the vicinity of side edge parts 24 of the gusset 2 are heat sealed integrally along the side edge parts 24, the entire sheet overlapping parts in the vicinity of the opening end 25 of the gusset 2 are heat sealed integrally along the edge of the opening end 25, and thereby a bag bottom 25a is formed.
