摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy capable of producing a continuous casting material having excellent high temperature strength.SOLUTION: Provided is an aluminum alloy having a composition comprising 10.5 to 13.5 mass% of Si, 3 to 5 mass% of Cu, 3 to 5 mass% of Ni, 1.0 mass% or less of Mg, 0.65 to 1.0 mass% of Fe and 0.001 to 0.1 mass% of Mn, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, and in which the relation between the [Fe] and the [Mn] satisfies [Mn]≤0.14×[Fe], where [] denotes the content (unit:mass%) of the element in the parenthesis. Also provided is a method for producing an aluminum alloy continuous casting material where the molten metal of the aluminum alloy is poured into a mold, and is cooled in the range from the molten metal temperature to 660 to 630°C at a cooling velocity of 100°C/s or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: None
